Notes on the Month Ahead 05.22

Happy May! Is it just me or has there been a general lack of energy in the air recently? This weekend truly sucked the life out of me. One walk in the park and the seasonal allergies that have been virtually nonexistent for the last two years have returned. I’m not sure what exactly that row of trees we walked under was but I would like to avoid them during bloom time in the future.

On the agenda for this month — we have a little family trip out East on the docket, and hopefully some beach time in the near future. When I tell you I am craving warmer weather — it’s been a chilly spring, which I do not mind but after the last two years I am very much into spending as much time outdoors as possible. And I really want to take advantage of living in the city while we still call it home. We have also been making an effort to take Goldie girl out for a “dining experience” once a week so she can get used to being out and about and be comfortable in spaces that are not always as interesting for little ones, i.e. restaurants. I’m still team outdoor dining — especially with her in tow and it’s been pretty easy so far since every single spot has outdoor options these days. It is amazing, New York street cafe society forever. And I hear to go drinks are coming back too, definitely looking forward to grabbing a cocktail and heading out for a walk in the park!

On the agenda blog wise — I have a follow up post to E’s birthday party post detailing how to make the name crayons coming. I have loved the idea of weekly photo roundups, so will keep that up. Lots of outfits to come as the weather warms up and I get more motivated to put myself together to go outside, ha! I am however, going to cut myself off this month from adding anything new to my closet. I want to go through everything I have and kind of capsule collection myself. I would like to experiment with pieces that I already own a bit more so I can get a better idea of what is missing from my current wardrobe. Working from home has changed my approach to everyday style I have always had a more casual side but it has definitely shifted a lot more in that direction. Before I go about updating my wardrobe for Summer I want to refine my closet and work through what I have, what is missing, etc.

That’s it for now.
