A series worth bringing back—the happiest hour! Back in the days of 2014/2015 I used to share cocktail recipes for Friday happy hour. Each week I looked forward to sitting down and researching new recipes to try and share. It was such a fun treat! After reminiscing a bit about this here I found myself looking up some old recipes I had shared and rediscovered the South Side. Gin, lime juice, mint—so simple, so delicious, so reminiscent of Spring. Every January I feel like I want to catapult straight into Spring and this week we have below freezing temps here in New York I am all for it.

The South Side
2 ounces gin
1 ounce lime juice
1 ounce simple syrup
3-5 mint leaves
3 drops angostora bitters
In a large glass or shaker add gin, lime juice, simple syrup, and mint. Shake to bruise the mint leaves. Pour over ice and garnish with lime and mint. Enjoy!
