Happy Friday friends! The theme of this week’s Friday Five is spring. Having started sharing some of the pieces I have been saving earlier this week on my spring style shop page, and being very near the end of this pregnancy has me craving a fresh a new season. I have been thinking a lot about the types of items I might like to add to and remove from my wardrobe. Yes, you read that correctly. I, queen of keeping things forever, having been feeling the urge to let go of a few pieces that no longer serve me. But that’s not why we’re here today. And when I do, I will be sure to make a big production out of it, ha. While I may not have sorted out the wants vs. needs vs. the donate/sell pile, I have been putting together a rough idea of what I would like my spring/summer vibe to look like. From the earliest items, and this round up of pieces that have stayed on my mind we will be going for a simple, neutral, fun feel.

A few things that have caught my eye…

01. Square sunglasses — Love the shape of these sunglasses. Cannot say for sure if they would look good or not on my face, but the square shape and metal frame are too good not to note.

02. Pearl earrings — These pearl drop earrings are at the top of my wishlist. I envision wearing them with everything. They are the perfect subtle statement piece.

03. Crochet tank — Crochet is having a moment and I am here for it. While definitely a trend, it is less fleeting than let’s say, the bubble skirts of yesteryear. There are always crochet items on the market once temperatures rise regardless. I have been drawn to short sleeve and sleeveless knits lately and love this tank. It would pair well with jeans and shorts and carry you straight into fall with some creative layering.

04. Raffia tote — Forever a fan of raffia bags and the fan pattern at the top of this one is so much fun. It would make a great everyday tote for spring/summer.

05. Belted cardigan — If you love the Joseph belted cardigan as much as I do but not the price tag may I introduce you to this Rowie number? The style and belt are so similar and it is a fraction of the price, as well as currently on sale! It’s on it’s way to me now and I am dreaming of wearing it straight through the year — with a simple white tee or tank and jeans, over dresses, swimsuits and shorts for cool summer evenings at the beach. It is truly such a versatile style. I am so excited!
