Friday Five – Vol. 16

Happy Friday and welcome to the first Friday Five of the year! This week I have been gravitating towards things that bring comfort — cozy knits, stretchy leggings, luxe pajama sets. The dreary weather has played a key role in this mindset I’m guessing because just last week I was fully ready to launch right into spring/summer. I think mentally I am. I bought a swimsuit on sale last week. This one to be exact. It was on my wishlist last summer, and I am so excited about it.

Most of my browsing however has been baby related as I prep for this little one’s arrival. We are getting so close and it’s freaking me out how unprepared I feel all of a sudden. This weekend I plan to pull down all of the bins of E’s newborn clothes and sort through them. And maybe grab brunch or lunch out because I need to get out of the apartment and it’s been tough these days to get us out the door solo. The weather is supposed to be a bit overcast, but at least it won’t be raining.

On to today’s finds. This week is a mix of cozy, spring, and baby.

01. I ordered this green striped swaddle blanket for Baby #2 to pack in my hospital bag. Will share a more comprehensive post on what it going into that soon. If you know me you know I how much I love a sweet sage hue. Bonus points that it is a neutral, which is perfect as we don’t know if we are having a boy or girl.

02. I also ordered this pajama set. I love Eberjey, they make the softest pjs and they hold up so well over time. I’ve had my palm pair for years and wear them so often. The whipstitch detail on this set looks even better in person. Love!

03. An early spring find — I really like the shape of this raffia bag, it adds so much interest. I’m thinking it would make a great carryall for walks with this little ones and beach days, etc. — the go everywhere bag of spring/summer.

04. This dress has been popping up on my socials. The targeting advertising is sometimes too good, ha! Knit dresses have been a wardrobe staple during my pregnancies. Things I can go up one size in and wear after Baby arrives score major points with me.

05. And finally — the cozy oversized cardigan. I am definitely going to be treating myself to a luxe cardigan for postpartum life. This is the kind of thing you can wear straight through the entire year and never really goes out of style. More wins. This particular cardigan is up there in price and I am intrigued by this one that looks nearly identical and is much more affordable. I may have to take one for the team and test this out. What do we think?
