Happy New Year! I hope that your 2023 is already off to a fantastic start. It was nice to get a little bit of a break over the holidays. We had a busy last two weeks with lots of car time traveling to visit loved ones. Holidays are no joke with a little one. We had stayed home last year for her first Christmas so this year was our first true taste of the chaos. It was wonderful though. Eleanor had the best time and that makes it all worth it a hundred times over. We’re just tired.

There are a lot of wonderful things on the horizon this year and I am so excited to be back in this space writing again. I have ordered a few new things for my desk — fresh notebooks, pens, and a calendar to get myself feeling inspired to tackle the month ahead. There is also an ambitious list of to-dos I’ve laid out for myself. A good chunk of it is baby prep. Over the weekend I started putting together our registry, which consists of bits and pieces that need updating that we plan to purchase ourselves — like the electric booger sucker. I also purchased Baby’s coming home outfit and a new swaddle blanket and am starting to think about my hospital bag — I am thinking I will share a posts on these topics in the coming weeks.

Speaking of this space — I am setting intentions for this new year. Starting next week I aim to post 2-3 times per week starting fresh each Monday, ideally falling into a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule. Topics featured will be the usual ranging from home decor to motherhood to style. And I’ve been toying with the idea of turning a few topics into “series”, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself here.

This week has been tough, it seems across the board for all of us, to get back into the swing of things post break so I think Monday sounds best. See you then!
