I have been very bad about snapping photos lately. I’ve also been very bad about getting out and about to do things to take photos of. JD has been so busy with work the last two months. And the transition to one nap a day, down from two, is taking the rest of the wind out of my sails. I think it’s harder on me than it is on her, completely rearranging our routines is tough.
This past weekend we took her pumpkin picking with her cousins. She has been so into all of the fall/halloween books lately, especially the ones about pumpkins (It’s Pumpkin Day, Mouse! and Five Little Pumpkins are read on repeat) I thought she would get the biggest kick out of picking out her own pumpkins. We took her last year, but she was too little to understand what was going on. She honestly had no idea what was going on this year either, but she did know she was in a field full of pumpkins — a word she is trying desperately to say. It’s sounding closer to “baba” at the moment. So cute! She was so excited and was going for the lumpiest ones she could find. I think she was trying to find one that looked like the “sad pumpkin” from her book, her favorite one. She loves to make all the faces along with the pumpkins, but has really mastered the sad face and loved to show it off. We are in trouble, ha!
Some pumpkin picking snaps. She lost the plot at the end and was carried out sideways, ha — nap time woes.
