Thinking Ahead to Fall Style

Part of me hates that I’m typing this, but fall style has been largely on my mind this week. After a long hot summer I am very much looking forward to putting on a big cozy sweater and sipping something warm and seasonal — mulled wine is top of mind right now for some reason and that’s more of a winter thing for me. I know come January I’ll be kicking myself for wishing for sweaters so early but here we are. At least it’s September now, the month the new season begins.

Slowly over the last few weeks I’ve been adding pieces to my fall shop, which I’ve decided to go ahead and launch today. Surprise! Not as exciting as a new album from our girl Taylor, but still pretty exciting if you are as into one day soon wearing a brown plaid jacket and an oversized sweater as I am.

My personal style goals this season is to strike a balance between cozy and elegant. Cozy elegance actually has a nice ring to it. I want to look polished and put together while still feeling comfortable, mixing and matching more dressed up elements with casual ones. Nothing too refined and stuffy, while steering clear of sloppy. I think these street style snaps sum of my goals.

As far as purchases I have already ordered this dress and this sweater. I bought these boots last winter and cannot wait to break them out again for fall. They are so lightweight and comfortable, great for lots of walking and go perfectly with everything. I am really loving this colorway for fall, so pretty. I have my eye on this cardigan and have my fingers crossed it comes back in stock in my size. And have chatted a bit about my five closet staples I’ll be leaning on as the seasons change here.

I’ve also been sharing some pieces I’ve been finding in real time on my ig stories so be sure to follow me over there @lyndsbianco as well, please and thank you.

Without further ado, the fall shop
