Hiiiii, happy Friday! What a week it has been. This week was my last week of maternity leave with my first day back being yesterday. Thankfully I am still working from home, but I just cannot believe how quickly the last 12 weeks have gone. I have a feeling I’m going to be saying things like that for the rest of time now — how quickly time is zipping by.

We’ve had the most dreary weather lately with cloud filled days and big afternoon storms — not my version of ideal summer weather, but it has had me dreaming about sunny summer gatherings and time spent outdoors. Things here are all open with no restrictions at the moment though I have certainly been hesitant, especially with a little one in tow. I am not sure if I will be hosting dinner parties any time soon, but there have been a few things that have caught my eye recently that make me want to so I wanted to share.

01. I am in love with these raffia placemats from Aerin. Daisies are our girl’s birth month flower and lately I have been obsessed with any and everything daisy related. — 02. Fun glassware is the best. The dishwasher in our previous apartment was original to the unit so 1960s and while it ran, it always sounded like it was getting ready to launch itself into space. Thus resulting in a lot of chipped glasses. Over the last several years as I’ve sought to replace them I have found myself being drawn to less traditional and more fun styles. Love these hand-etched glasses so much! — 03. These dessert plates remind me of a a french bistro in Paris I’ve never been too. — 04. Pretty napkins are also a must for outdoor dinner parties. Love the muted colors in this striped set! Also noteworthy, this pretty floral set for $10 that I just added to my cart. — 05. And finally, what is an outdoor dinner party without a patio umbrella?
