What a week. What. A. Week. I have no words, certainly not the right ones. A few days ago I saw a video on the NY Times Instagram of a makeshift NICU on the lower level of a hospital in Ukraine and have not been able to stop thinking about those babies, their families, and all of the people of Ukraine and their friends, families, and loved ones around the world. I try to keep things light and flowery on social media and in this space, but I just need to note this here. I never would have thought that something like this could happen in 2022.

It feels wrong to continue sharing content as if nothing has happened, but I also know that we all need a little bit of “escapism” to get through it. I have been trying to distract myself a bit from the news this week by starting to put together my Spring wishlist. I added a “Spring Shop” tab to the nav bar menu and am sharing some of those items here as well.

This season I am craving a simplicity by way of light neutrals, natural elements, and pops of cool blue. I just ordered this dress, which had been on my list last year. And I think I am going to finally order this sherpa lined denim jacket for the transitional period. I know it is a men’s jacket and there is a high chance it will be going back, but it is 40% off this weekend so worth a try. I also need to add a straw tote to my collection this year. We talked a lot about this last year but I never found a good one that wasn’t overpriced. I really like the look of this one, still a bit pricey, but better than the super popular Loewe version. I also really like the look of this one, it gives French market basket vibes.

I will continue adding to this shop as I find new pieces for the season.
