DIRECTORY
Hello September! I’m never ready for you to come around. Half of me is always excited for Autumn weather and the changing leaves, while the other screams that it’s still Summer for the majority of the month — we can continue spending time at the beach!
As I think about the month ahead, my personal goal, and what I’d like to accomplish I must admit that the “excited for Fall” part of me takes over.
August was one of the first months where I met the goals I set for myself with this blog and that has me feeling accomplished and so excited for the month ahead. It has certainly been a challenge to find the time as our routine continues to evolve, but I have been working on setting aside time for myself and better organizing how I spend my day between work and baby. It’s a balance and we are getting there.
On the docket for September…
Style
Some Fall style previews and what I’m shopping. I have already started putting together my Fall and Pre-Fall style boards, which the shop has already switched over to! So, if you are interested you can check out my ever evolving Fall wishlist here. I would also really love to chat about denim. I have not shopped for new jeans in over a year, which means I am starting fresh and would like to share some of the updated styles that have caught my eye. Spoiler alert: they are not skinny jeans but it is a conundrum, ha!
Travel
I think it’s time to do a refresh of the two and only travel posts I have written and shared here. One of them is a Christmas in New York 24 hour guide of my favorite things to do and see, and the other is a guide of restaurants we love and how to support them during the height of the pandemic. I would love to write an updated 24 hours in New York guide with a safe and seasonless theme. And restaurant guidelines have changed a lot since I wrote that post (hello sidewalk cafe society!), so I would like to go back in and add a few new spots and updates here and there!
Home
And of course, home decor! We are rearranging some things in our apartment as our little one makes the transition from bassinet to crib — got to love small city spaces. So I’ve been thinking a lot about swapping out a few things here and there, like our couch pillows for one. Add a few seasonal pieces and new vases. And my hunt for the perfect table lamp for the living room continues. So I plan to share these posts over the new few months as I get my act, and apartment together, ha!
Lofty blog plans for one month.
Outside of blogging I would love to get at least one last beach weekend in, plan a trip out East to our favorite winery, and spend some much needed time at home, out on our deck before it gets too cold. Last year we did a lot of movie nights with the projector and I am so excited to do that again this year! Over the Winter we had started setting the screen up inside but it’s been a while. Maybe if we have good weather this weekend! High Society on the deck with pizza from Patsy’s sounds like a perfect way to celebrate my upcoming birthday!
