Letter from the Editor 04.23

Happy April! I cannot believe it is already here, nor can I believe that our new little babe is already five weeks old today! We have been taking it easy as we find our groove these last weeks and while it has been chaotic at times it has been the best.

It seems with the change of month came the change of season. We got our first real taste of spring over the weekend and it was good. It was truly a beautiful weekend. Everything has started to bloom overnight. Temps neared 70 on Saturday! Sunday was a dipped back down but it was a perfect cloudless day all morning and afternoon, much needed after all of the overcast, dreary days we’ve had. It makes me feel so excited for all that lies ahead — summer evenings spent watching sunsets at the beach with a glass of wine is top of mind lately.

My April to do list is long and I am giving myself grace. Life with two under two is an adventure, mostly toddler driven. Speaking of, Eleanor will be turning two this month! I can hardly believe it. It feels like just yesterday I was finding out we were expecting her and now she’ll be two in a few short weeks. Time is a wonderful and cruel at the very same time when you’re a mama. I am still in the process of planning her party. This year is going to be a bit more simple, though I have floated the idea of a bounce house to JD. Jury is still out on that one.

Here on this site — I have a few drafts going, mostly around the topic of motherhood. And as mentioned on my ig stories last week, the recipe for Finn’s birthday cake is in progress!
