Friday Five—Vol. 8

I’m starting to see fall creep into the shops lately and I am not ready for it. Yes, it has been hot but these summer days are precious and there are plenty of days to don sweaters and boots ahead. Let’s not rush it, yeah?

This week the handful of things that have caught my eye without question fall into the summer camp — but maybe offer a bit of transition too. Pieces that can transition from season to season make up the key staples in my wardrobe. Being able to continue wearing my favorite pieces throughout the year is such a joy. It has finally cooled a bit the last few days and I’m feeling inspired to spend more time outdoors once again, hence most of an outfit and some pretty napkins I thought would be nice for meals on the terrace.

01. A.P.C. Bucket Bag — I love the combination of canvas and leather on this bucket bag. It’s one that can bridge the seasons a bit and is subtle. I’m forever a fan of pieces that strike the perfect balance of casual elegance. // 02. Carrie Forbes Slides — These braided slides are just too cute! The white and tan combo on the straps, loveee! // 03. J. Crew Slip Dress — I really like slip dresses, though I’ve never found one that has worked particularly well on me. Maybe I’m just not a clingy slip dress girl, but I love the look of them on pretty much everyone else. Light, breezy, effortless. The epitome of cool girl summer style. The muted sage color of this one is perfect and can bridge the seasons as well. I would wear straight through the year. It also comes in a ton of colors! // 04. Chan Luu Linen Napkins — The wavy trim on these linen napkins is a no brainer. Would make an excellent hostess gift too! // 05. Madewell Hair Clip — I am all about cute hair clips these days. The floral print on this one is so fun, yet subtle enough that it won’t clash with the rest of your look. I love a piece that adds a little fun and charm to a look and this clip would be the perfect summery finishing touch. PS. It is also on sale!
