Wishing you a very happy Friday and a nice three day weekend if you have Veteran’s Day off. I have big plans of heading into the park today, and this weekend. These days of November are always peak leaf season in Central Park. I’m curious to see how it will shape up this year. The leaves at the little park across the street have only just turned and Central Park is usually a week or so behind. It’s incredible how this patch of green in the middle of the city exists on it’s own time. We were out on Long Island last weekend and a lot was already down, but not here. There is always a three week delay — something to keep in mind if you are planning a visit to New York in the fall.
This week has been such a whirlwind — we finally announced Baby #2! I had a few appointments. My sister came in to the city and found her wedding dress!! And my two day work week was the absolute busiest. I am working on a blog post about my pregnancy so far and will answer of the questions that have come my way via dm as well so stay tuned next week. We are very excited and can’t wait to share more!
Now on to so things that have caught my eye this week as we are all really here for the Friday Five and not to listen to me ramble about leaves and what Midnights song is currently stuck on a loop in my head — it’s Karma this week by the way.
This week I’ve found myself stuck between wanting to launch fully into Christmas and the holiday season and still hanging on to fall. I love fall, but feel like I started early this year and now I’m just off schedule and ready to move ahead. It is taking every effort to not start decorating for Christmas. With that in mind, this week I have been saving holiday looks and wishlist pieces.
Hair Oil | I have been buying this hair oil for a very long time. Lately I’ve been neglecting it and it shows. I started up my routine the other day and wow wow wow the difference it has already made. This is the best hair oil I have tried, it absorbs so well, even if you use too much and leaves hair so hydrated, shiny, and smooth. I cannot recommend enough!
Half Zip Sweater | I love Varley. My white sweatshirt is one of my most worn items that I’ve purchased the last few years, the collar is just so good. Lately I have been living in loungewear, very surprising, I know. And with that being said have been looking to fill some holes color-wise. I don’t have a lot of darker shades and always have my eye on a half zip. This one checks all the boxes.
Slip Dress | The opposite end of the spectrum, I have been very into dresses lately. I love a good slip dress and the green color of this one would be so perfect for any holiday party you have coming up. I also love the idea of pairing with a sweater or cardigan to dress it down a bit for everyday.
Handbag | Forever on the lookout for a good handbag, I really like the shape of this one. It’s interesting and different and reminiscent of something you’d see out and about in the ’90s.
Bow Earrings | These earrings are pure fun. I’m usually not a big statement earring girl. I like to keep things simple when it comes to jewelry. But these are so fun and would be the perfect finishing touch to any holiday look. Thanksgiving dinner here we come!
