Lately, I have found myself saving lots of home decor inspiration on Pinterest. There is something about a fresh new year in the winter season that brings this out in me each year. Maybe it’s also part nesting mode this time too, ha. I have also found myself to be craving a slightly different style than I usually gravitate towards, which I’m also attributing to the season. It has been dark and dreary in New York these last few months. Even on the sunnier days it feels fleeting. A few hours of sun in the morning and a lot of clouds by early afternoon. The sun setting so much earlier does not help. As a result, I have been gravitating towards light, bright, clean, easy, and simple, but with elegant details, that sometimes feel ornate and extravagant. This photo for example, clean and modern with interest added via the burl wood table and moodiness by way of the tapestry throw pillow. I like the balance of these elements.

Yesterday I saw a chandelier on TikTok that I have become enthralled with. It was part of a video of this man reviewing this stunning upstate getaway house. So much wallpaper, truly incredible. On a side note I think I’m becoming a wallpaper person again. I go through phases with this. This home was so stunning though and the chandelier had me immediately heading to google to confirm my suspicions. It was a vintage murano palmette design and I will now be needing one in our future space. JD was immediately on board so you know it’s good, haha.

Today I wanted to share a few favorite images I have saved that have given me the most home decor inspiration, and a few lighting pieces I have found as well as the palmette chandelier has sparked a renewed craving for fun lighting.
