Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Becoming a mom has really change my perspective on holidays. I want to make every single one so special for E. Getting to watch her experience everything for the first time has been the most wonderful thing, I love it so much. I also really love to celebrate. This will be my second Mother’s Day as a mom, though the first one we will really be celebrating. Last year I was fresh out of the hospital for the second time after giving birth and in the newborn haze. (I shared about why I was back in the hospital six days postpartum here.) I put on real jeans for the first time and we walked over to the farmers market to buy potted flowers for the terrace. It was a lovely, sleepy day, and we decided we’d catch the next one to build on our traditions as a family once we’ve all had a bit more sleep.

As we’re thinking about how we would like to celebrate this year I wanted to share a few gift ideas for the mamas in your life, or for yourself!

01. Oh this ring. I have had this ring saved on a secret Pinterest board for the longest time. Years ago, since Julia shared it actually. I had planned to purchase it as a gift to myself initially but wanted to wait until we decided on E’s nickname before doing so. This ring is pricey, but it is a beautiful keepsake you will treasure forever. I love the idea of one day handing it down as well.

02. These scalloped dessert dishes are stunning. I discovered them a few weeks ago while searching for a cake stand for E’s birthday and have not stopped thinking about them. They would make such a lovely gift for a mom who loves entertaining.

03. Gifts for the home can be tricky since it is so personal, but if you are really dialed in to their style these scalloped towels would make a lovely gift! I found them while flipping through AD and fell in love. Give me a sweet scalloped details, always.

04. I ordered these matching mama and mini hats for us a while back and they are the cutest! E loves wearing them together! They would make the cutest gift and also come in a ton of colors if denim isn’t your thing!

05. I got this mug for JD for Christmas and it came out so cute!

06. & 07. Something cozy is always a good idea! I love the look of these waffle slippers and color of this cute pajama set to pair with. I own a both the shorts and nightgown versions of this set and love them.

08. These travel cases are timeless, come in a bunch of colors, and can be monogramed!

09. I also love the idea of nice gardening shears for the garden loving mamas in your life. In my daydreams I am good with plants and therefore have all of these cute gardening things on my one day wishlist, but for now I’ll let JD keep track of the gaggle of citrus trees currently living in our apartment.

10. And this wavy serving bowl for those who love to entertain!

For me personally, I really enjoy a gift guide that has lots of options at varying price points and interests so I hope this was helpful in some tiny way!
