It’s Friday, we made it! Now it’s time for another edition of Friday Five. I have been craving Spring this week. It’s bad I’ve already watched Austenland, and am trying to hold off on Letters to Juliet. These two movies, I don’t know why but I love to watch them when I’m craving a tiny bit of warm weather too early in the season. They feel like Spring to me. And they’re fun. End of story.
So Spring is on my mind and I have slowly started putting together early pieces for the Spring shop to be. I’ve rounded up five items that have caught my attention recently to share as a little taste of Spring things to come!
01. I cannot stop thinking about this sweet sage sweatershirt with side zips. I purchased this Varley sweatshirt last year and it has surprisingly become one of my most worn pieces, it is so comfortable and easy to wear. I am still on a sage kick, clearly, ha! It is such a good neutral. This was of course decided all the way back in Jan. 2021 when I switched the blog color scheme from a peachy pink to the green you see today.
02. I have been on the lookout for an oversized denim jacket at a more friendly price point. I have been eyeing the Agolde “Charli” for years, it looks perfect, but it is pricey. Recently I saw a girl walking by wearing a sherpa lined denim jacket and loved it so much! I said to JD that I wish he had one that I could just borrow to get the oversized look I want, which obviously led me to the men’s section of the Levi’s website where I found this. I really like the idea of sherpa for Spring to combat those early days where it is still freezing when you step into the shade.
03. We have discussed my love for my little white Gigi Clozeau bracelet a few times now (here), and the necklace version here. I have worn this bracelet every day since it arrived to me in October 2019. It is such a special piece, and I promise to get more in depth on that soon—how to select forever jewelry post coming right up! I purchased that bracelet to commemorate a special moment in my life and have decided to do so again with the matching necklace. It is on it’s way to me as we speak and I cannot wait!
06. Spring/Summer = white jeans, end of story. This pair along with the DL1961 Hepburns are on my list every single year and given that I am in the phase of updating my denim it is time for these to finally make their way into my jean drawer.
05. And finally, this wool-felt jacket reminds me so much of my very favorite Rag & Bone military style jacket that I have had for nearly ten years. Right now I am on the hunt for a nice neutral in between seasons jacket. This is a lot, I know, but it serves as excellent inspiration. I can see it working very well for Fall as well, and Winter if you live in a warmer climate.
And now on to Friday things!
