I’m not one to easily hop on trends but sometimes there are trends, or more specifically pieces, that catch my eye and need to be further explored. This season I have seen leather shorts pop up in my feed so often and each time I have loved the look of them. I was drawn to the surprising versatility — how each look I came across felt fresh and new and different from the last. I ordered this pair of faux leather shorts and started thinking up ways to style them.

Here I have styled them two ways, one is more casual daytime and the other more for evening. Though I have so many other ideas, especially for holiday looks!

For day I styled these shorts with over the knee boots and an oversized sweater for a casual, but still put together feel.

For an evening look I kept the over the knee boots and swapped the sweater for a black mock neck bodysuit and topped with a rust colored coat for some autumn inspired color.
