The Top 5 Items on my April Wishlist

As I’ve mentioned about a thousand times by now, I’d had the itch to shop. If I had to guess, I’d say the intense nesting going on around here is partially to blame. Coupled with the desire to fit into my normal clothes again without drawing comparisons to Winnie the Pooh it has become a great exercise of patience and restraint. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t found loopholes – things that will always fit regardless of my waistline.

Trying something new below – you can now click on the little green boxes in the image to shop!

sunglasses

At the top of my list we have these classic oversized sunglasses. I’ve had my eye on this Le Specs pair since last summer. I love the caramel color, it’s a great neutral I expect would look superb with a tan.

sandals

A new pair of sandals is always on my list for Spring/Summer. I came across these fringed slides on Moda Operandi a while back and instantly fell in love with them. I love that they are easy to slip on and go but add an element of interest with the fringe. I’m currently dreaming of pairing them with everything from jeans and an oversized button down to a sweet gingham sundress.

basket backpack

I love a good basket bag. This backpack is another thing that caught my eye last summer and I have been daydreaming about packing it up for picnics in the park in our favorite spot ever since. I also love this tote that has a cotton liner to shield all of your belongings inside. I am very tempted to pick it up and buy a diaper bag insert for breezy summer days. If the carefully selected diaper backpack sitting in the corner of my living room could roll it’s eyes at me it definitely would right now, ha!

travel pouches

If the process of packing and repacking and then circling back to reconsider everything that has already been packed into our hospital bag has illuminated anything (aside from my complete inability to decide what snacks I might like to bring with me for after birth, which feels fair) it is that I do not have travel pouches. Not that I’m planning on doing much traveling any time soon, or even wearing makeup for that matter, but having pretty pouches to neatly pack everything into when the time comes would feel like a treat. I love the shade of blue and sweet floral motif on these block print pouches, as well as that they are easily washable.

striped daisy headband

Lately I have been very into hair accessories. I’ve picked up a few pretty hair clips like this pearlescent jaw clip and this set of two tortoise shell clips. I haven’t had my hair done since October so anything to help stretch my color is a welcome addition at this point! I have been eyeing the Lele Sadoughi knot headbands for ages, they are so fun and I love that they look good whether your hair is down or up in a ponytail. I’ve seen them styled both ways and they always look so cute. When I came across this striped daisy print headband I immediately added it to my list. It is neutral enough that you could wear it with most looks but also interesting enough that it would look just as good with very simple looks.

And there you have it, the top 5 items on my wishlist this month. As always, I am constantly adding to my shop page so you can check that out here for other finds that have caught my eye as well!
